Episode 4 - Payson Hall - A new knowledge area for the PMBOK Guide - Project Blame Management
21. März 2008 – 22:57Today the PMPOD features its first interview, which I am very proud of. Also it is the first english episode. To all german listeners, who might be surprised, I explain everything in Episode 3. The topic for todays interview is Project Blame Management. Payson Hall, a management consultant based in Sacramento, California, proposes this as new knowledge area for the PMPOK Guide.
I had lots of fun doing the interview with Payson and I hope you have the same while you listen to this episode.

I always had that gut feeling that something had been left out of the PMBOK. Congratulations, and thank you, Payson, for identifying the missing component. While some project managers may have already begun employing a similar process, I believe your version is highly refined and ready for immediate implementation, no matter what phase the project may be in.

Blame management is a good idea. However it is not only linked to communication and risk knowledge area. I furthermore think that it is also strongly linked to stakeholdermanagement. So in the stakeholder monitor one should also identify the blame eligible persons and also very important the blame ilegible beeings.
Thanks to Payson and Sebastian.
